Gastric Banding Revision
Recent studies have demonstrated that Gastric Banding (GB) is associated with a high rate of failure due to complications and insufficient weight-loss. There are multiple options available for failed GB patients; a popular option is revision by performing a sleeve gastrectomy, a gastric bypass, or a duodenal switch.
Gastric Sleeve Revision
Some gastric sleeve (GS) patients necessitate extra steps to reach weight-loss targets. These include a re-sleeve (making it tighter), placating the sleeve, a second stage duodenal switch procedure, or converting to a gastric bypass.
In order to evaluate your case, Clinique Michel Gagner will require the following
A copy of the previous operative report
A recent GI series (barium swallow, a radiological exam of your stomach)
A recent gastroscopy (inside view of your stomach)
