Steps to take following a positive test

Pharmacological treatment to be started 3 months after surgery

Triple-quadri therapy for 10 to 14 days (approximately 25 tablets per day):

  • Proton pump inhibitor
  • Antibiotics (2 different classes)
  • Antidiarrheal

Possible post-treatment controls to ensure its effectiveness:

  • By blood test, done a few weeks after the end of the treatment
  • Urea breath test done 4 to 6 weeks after the end of treatment
  • Stool antigen assays

The treatment can be repeated if the bacteria has not been eradicated
