Diagnostic Surgery

Diagnostic surgery is performed only for diagnostic purposes, without the intention of treating any disease at the time of surgery. Diagnostic surgery is often necessary when imaging techniques have been unsuccessful in identifying the issue or the cause of pain, and direct vision is required. All diagnostic surgeries are done by laparoscopy and are out-patient procedures, with patients able to leave the clinic the same day as the surgery.
