Duration of Obesity May Effect Heart Disease

A new study led by Jared P. Reis of the NIH’s National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) has demonstrated that the longer an individual is obese, the higher the risk of heart disease. In fact, each year of obesity was related to a 2-4% increase in heart disease risk.
